Operations Manager 85-100kLocation: Tinley Park, ILReports To: Site ManagerAbout the RoleAs the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our warehouse operations. You'll be responsible for leading a high-performing team, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering outstanding service to our customers. This position requires a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesDirect and mentor warehouse personnel, including supervisors, leads, and associates, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.Manage all aspects of daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, and inventory management, to meet organizational goals.Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.Uphold strict safety, health, and environmental standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Oversee inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.Collaborate closely with transportation, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations and timely order fulfillment.Monitor and analyze operational metrics and KPIs, using data-driven insights to identify opportunities for process enhancements.Champion cost-saving initiatives, optimize warehouse layout, and streamline workflows to boost productivity.Lead projects focused on process automation and technology adoption to support business growth.Build and maintain effective relationships with external partners, including vendors, carriers, and third-party providers.Prepare and present comprehensive performance reports to senior leadership.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred).Minimum of 5 years' experience in warehouse or distribution management, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and logistics operations.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze data, manage budgets, and implement process improvements.In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.Core CompetenciesTeam Leadership & Staff DevelopmentAnalytical Thinking & Problem SolvingProcess Improvement & Lean OperationsInventory & Supply Chain OptimizationSafety & Regulatory ComplianceEffective Communication & CollaborationSalary Range: $85,000-$100,000Structure: OnsiteBenefits:Health, dental, and vision, life, short/long term disability insurance401(k) offeringPaid time off and holidays Paid sick leave where applicable by state law.LHH is a leader in permanent recruitment"”and in the placement of top talent.
