About the Opportunity: Looking for a full-time audio-visual support engineer to join our rapidly growing team based in Washington DC. This is a 100% onsite role supporting a customer with a global footprint. The successful candidate will join a team of professional technicians and engineers in a robust and dynamic AV/UC environment.The ideal candidate will be a team player with a skillset that includes advanced troubleshooting and design testing, white glove support for large hybrid events and a demonstrated ability to foster highly efficient collaboration. Develop custom solutions as required to address root cause.Lead both local and global hardware replacement and device software configuration. Collaborate with technical teams remotely to verify functionality and resolve unexpected issues.Actively engage with the management team to build and execute program process. Proactively develop optimization plans for team consideration.Manage and respond to issues reported by client employees through the ticketing system and other intake mechanisms to meet the contracted Service Level Agreement s (SLAs).Defining and test new AV design concepts and deployments using lessons learned from support cases and input from technician team.Periodic travel to international office locations for project work is expected - 1-2 times per yearProvide system level reviews of regional system integrator Bill of Materials and deployment plans against the Global AV Design standards - supported by the BSI engineer of recordSecondary DutiesEstablish and maintain strong vendor relationships for support; escalate performance concerns to the management team.Create records about inventory, maintenance and other key details related to client equipment.Other duties as assigned.Desired minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent is requiredAssociate's degree in audiovisual technology or related field is preferred5+ years of experience providing technical support5+ years experience in commercial audio visual technology and networkingProgramming and advanced networking experience is a plusAvixa CTS certification (CTS-I, CTS-D) is a plusSpecial RequirementsProficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft TeamsCustomer service mindsetExperience with Crestron, QSC or Shure productsPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentAbility to sit, stand, stoop or bend for extended periods of timePeriodic extended instances of walking throughout the campus to support meetings, sweeps and eventsPeriodic off hours event support - pre-arranged and communicatedOccasional domestic travelOffice related tasks may require prolonged sitting/standing
