QA Associate/Supply Chain (BioTech)

We are hands-on.Position Overview: We are seeking a Quality Assurance Associate to manage internal control, supply chain, QA systems development and documentation development systems to ensure consistent and uninterrupted biopharma production in our current facility and future GMP facility. This is a full-time on-site position in Thousand Oaks, CA.Key responsibilities:Internal Control - Ensure operational efficiency by adherence to procedures and documentation, compliance with Quality Assurance, performance of internal audits, and providing reliable financial reporting.Inventory Control - Anticipate and forecast needs, establish order cycles, monitor supplies and expirations, reconcile budgets, and align with our critical path to ensure continuity of materials, chemicals, consumables and equipment. Develop and maintain all supply, logistic, inventory, COA and vendor internal and compliance records.Procurement and Supply - Liaise with cross-functional teams to manage the order fulfillment process including handling of bovine blood and biologics, to meet the production schedule.Manage all aspects of outgoing/incoming domestic and international shipments, including equipment and biologics; maintain an efficient warehouse.Vendor management - Source, evaluate, negotiate, select and monitor vendors; manage vendor contracts, payments, performance, relationships and risks.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Operations Management, Operations Research or a related field.2-5 years operations experience in biopharma or food industry.Communication skills - skilled at presenting ideas and data clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.Business acumen, including contract evaluation, strategic vendor sourcing and negotiation, effective time and task management, Quality Assurance document review and management, coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support GMP compliance and on-time delivery, and technical financial skills.Problem Solving Skills Adept at identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing effective solutions.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow and excel in a growing biopharma company while helping to develop a groundbreaking drug that could have an impact on the lives of many.
