Interior Design Procurement Specialist

Cummings Architecture & Interiors is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role will assist the design and accounting team throughout the purchasing and reconciliation process.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, can anticipate needs, and take initiative to solve problems independently. Strong financial skills and accuracy are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role requires someone who is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively to keep projects running smoothly.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Generate and process proposals, invoices, purchase orders, and paymentsCommunicate with vendors and trades to obtain pricing and ensure design deliverables are achievedPlace product orders and facilitate deliveryFile necessary claims with vendorsSchedule product deliveries, installations, and client meetingsTrack and coordinate deliveriesWeekly correspondence with accounting team for purchase reconciliationConduct project administration and organizationPerform general office tasksAssist with furniture installations and photoshoots as neededCoordinate with in-house and third-party delivery agents to arrange all local and long distance deliveriesSchedule deliveries with receivers and clientsKeep clients updated on delivery statusCoordinate with clients to facilitate client pick upsDevelop and maintain relationships with third party delivery agentsInspect and document the condition of all items getting picked up and deliveredField all delivery questions / issues / damages / claims THIS IS NOT A DESIGN POSITION Job RequirementsBachelors degree or higher2-3 years prior experience in billing, procurement, or logisticsProficiency with Design Manager and Microsoft SuiteArticulate verbal and written communication skillsHighly proficient in time managementExtremely detail oriented and desire for accuracySelf motivated and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Based in the Northshore with reliable daily transportationPart time and full time opportunities availableAbility to move 50 poundsWe provide competitive salaries, health insurance (including dental and vision), a 401K plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
