Job Title: Estimator - Construction ProjectsLocation: 90505, Torrance, California, United StatesEmployment Type: Full-TimeAs an Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate, comprehensive estimates for construction projects. Working closely with Senior and Lead Estimators, you will help ensure that our bids reflect the true scope and cost of projects, supporting the successful delivery of quality construction services. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are dedicated to accuracy and efficiency, this is the role for you.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed estimates and competitive bids for construction projectsMark up plans to identify scopes of work for bid packages using approved methodsConduct take-offs and data mining to gather necessary information for bidsPerform site visits and collect relevant project dataManage and distribute RFIs to clarify plan discrepancies, constructability challenges, and scheduling issuesIdentify and fill scope gaps, anticipating potential project issues proactivelyGenerate trade, subcontractor, and vendor lists; ensure bid coverage with at least three bids per tradePrepare clear, complete subcontractor scope letters to support bid package formulationAssist in subcontractor solicitation, negotiation, and bid leveling processesBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with subcontractors, clients, and consultantsMaintain organized documentation throughout the bidding processSupport subcontractor prequalification effortsEmbody company values to foster lasting client and business partner relationshipsCompetencies & SkillsStrong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsAccurate judgment and calculation skillsWorking knowledge of construction costs and industry principlesExceptional multitasking and organizational skills in fast-paced settingsExcellent time management and attention to detailCollaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and scheduling software such as Primavera, MS Project, or PhoenixExperience with 3-D design and Pipeline is a plus; Procore experience highly desirableEducation & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferredMinimum of two (2) years professional estimating experience can substitute for a degreeThree (3) years of construction experience preferredWhy Join Us?Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to work on exciting and varied projectsCollaborative and supportive work environmentProfessional growth and development opportunities
