Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) - Outpatient Clinic

A healthcare services organization in New York City is looking to add a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to their growing Adult Outpatient Department in Brooklyn.About the OpportunityStart Date: ASAPSchedule: Monday to FridayHours: 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week - 1 hour unpaid lunch)Department: Adult CareResponsibilities:Screen patients and make the appropriate referral for services requiredPrepare charts for sessions as assigned by Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse and assure that all laboratory work and ancillary reports are enteredDocument all clinical transactions with patient on patient's chartAssist the Nurse Manager / Charge Nurse with case management activities and document actions takenAssist the medical staff with treatment and diagnostic procedures (e.g., urine catheterization, fixes slides for pap smears, hand instruments to Physicians)Perform EKGs and venipuncture on Adults and Pediatric patientsAdminister injections (flu shots and immunizations)Monitor equipment and supplies for clinic session, assuring adequate quantities are availableHandle patient care follow ups; document action taken in patient's chartPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:Graduate of an accredited School of NursingNYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsPatient orientedGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbalStrong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:2+ year of experience as an LPN in Outpatient, Adult Care settingsKnowledge of Next Generation Bachelor's Degree in NursingBilingual Spanish, Russian
