Job Title: Escrow Officer Overview Escrow Officers manage the closing process for real estate transactions, acting as neutral third parties to ensure accurate settlement and compliance with Texas laws and underwriting standards. They collaborate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and internal staff to facilitate smooth, timely closings and fund disbursements.Key ResponsibilitiesClient & Transaction ManagementDocument Preparation & Escrow AdministrationClosing CoordinationFunds Handling & DisbursementRecording & Post-Close DutiesResponsibilities BreakdownServe as the primary point of contact for all parties during the escrow process.Provide comprehensive guidance through closing procedures, timelines, and documentation.Order and review title commitments, lender instructions, payoffs, and related documents.Prepare closing statements (HUD-1, CD) and balance file with lenders.Delegate appropriate duties to the escrow assistantFollow company standards and practices when processing a transaction, along with state lawsReturn all calls, voicemails and emails in a timely mannerEnsure TRID, RESPA, and TDI regulatory compliance during all phases of the transaction.Coordinate signing appointments and notarize closing packages.Process and verify incoming and outgoing wires; issue disbursements per instructions.Record legal documents with the county and issue final title policies.Maintain audit-ready files and support underwriter and regulatory audits.Required Qualifications2-3 years of experience in residential or commercial escrow (Texas preferred).Knowledge of Texas title insurance laws, TDI, TRID, and RESPA requirements.Proficiency in escrow/title software (SoftPro, RamQuest)Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple files concurrently.Active Texas Notary Commission.Experience with high-volume closings and fast-paced environments.Familiarity with Texas REALTORS contracts and procedures.Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not requiredCollege degree preferred
