Construction Project ManagerWhat Makes You A Good Fit?Three to five years of direct work experience in project management capacity, proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management. Experience in general contracting or sub-contracting capacity preferred. Experienced "job" site equipment installation management.Experience working with architects and engineers.Frequent travel is required to ensure job site integrity: 10-30%RoleWe are searching for qualified candidates to provide coordination, management, planning, and implementation for systems addressing the World's most complex opening solutions. Projects are primarily in aviation, shipyard, mining, military, and other industrial settings.The position will define project tasks and resource requirements, and coordinate the development and review of project deliverables. Manage project budget. Plan and schedule project timelines. Provide direction and support to the project team, including sales, production, and installation teams. Monitor and report on project progress. Track project milestones and deliverables. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans as necessary. Conduct project cost analysis in real-time and closeout of the project. Create recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Assist with project contract review processes.ResponsibilitiesSupport Sales pre-turnover activities including pre-release approvals Participate on door project contract reviewCoordinate door project design & operation reviewPlan and execute specialty projectsEstablish and manage project costsManage Electrical and Mechanical drawing submittalsTrack project(s) process through build & shipGenerate Installation data package including coordination with GCs/dealersManage installation activities and General Contractor (GC) coordinationManage project Change OrdersAssist the Installation coordinator with field issuesEvaluate/investigate project issues in various departmentsPlan and implement project coordination improvements "historical issues"Manage Architects' technical questions regarding door capabilities, building interface for door installation, electrical requirements, etc. Manage GCs and dealer's door technical, sales and project status inquiries Assist with Sales requests such as technical questions & project administration questions RequirementsKnowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project managementKnowledge of general building construction management Experience with architectural and structural drawingsKnowledge of project management techniques and toolsLeadership training and team-building skillsQuality control experienceKnowledge of contract review & negotiationsExposure to change management processes Demonstrated analytical problem-solving experience and decision-making skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of applicable building codes and construction techniquesProven ability to work and lead in a team environment.Highly efficient and effective organizational and prioritization skillsDemonstrate a "sense of urgency" on getting tasks closureProven customer skills and ability to maintain perspective in conflict resolutionSelf-starter, able to work without direct supervisionKnowledge of LEED requirements and documentationCompensation & LocationThis full-time position is based in Peachtree City, GA (South Metro Atlanta). It is available for immediate hire. A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate, including a base salary, performance bonus, 401(k) with company match, plus a profit-sharing component, and excellent health benefits. This is an on-site role, and the company will pay relocation costs.
