Industrial Electrician Houston, TX 770951st shift scheduleM-F 6:00 am to 4:45 pm. Saturdays and Sundays with ever other Sunday off, 5:00 am to 1:00 pm depending on project.Summary The Electrician is responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. This role supports senior electricians and works under supervision while continuing to build skills in electrical work and troubleshooting.ResponsibilitiesAssist in measuring, cutting, bending, and installing electrical conduit using basic tools such as a hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit benderSupport the installation of wiring systems in machines, equipment, and building structuresHelp inspect electrical components and systems to identify potential hazards or malfunctionsAid in installing cable glands and pulling wire through conduit and traysPerform basic troubleshooting of motors, control panels, and lighting systemsAssist with electrical terminations under supervision, including low and medium voltage (up to 480V/3-phase)Follow blueprints, layout drawings, and electrical schematicsMaintain tools and work areas in safe, clean conditionAdhere to safety regulations and company procedures at all timesRequiredHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 3-5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experienceFamiliarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)TWIC card and/or NCCER Certification a plusAbility to read basic electrical blueprints and schematicsComfortable using hand and power tools related to the tradeStrong attention to detail and willingness to learnAbility to work well as part of a team and take direction from senior electriciansElectrical Apprentice License or equivalent certification preferredPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsRequires frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbingWork is performed in an industrial environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperaturesMust be able to work in confined spaces or at heights as neededAdditional RequirementsWillingness to comply with drug screening and background check requirements
