Travel may be required occasionally and possible overnight expectations.SUMMARYMarrillia Design and Construction is a commercial general contractor headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky and offices in Louisville, Kentucky with annual sales of approximately $75MM. Marrillia seeks a qualified individual to fill the position of Site Manager for our projects in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. This is a full-time, salaried position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS include the following:Schedule the work through the crew leaders and subcontractors to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity on all jobs.Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and in keeping with the high quality standards of the company.Provide management with timely and accurate reports regarding job status as required.Assist wherever possible in securing new business for the company.Attend and participate in needed outside meetings relating to jobs.Manage the onsite specifics of the construction project from start to finish. Including set up and close out of the project.Must have the experience working on projects ranging from $500,000 to 25 million dollars.Serve as on-site Safety Officer and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance to company and industry standards.Study specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.Coordination of the construction activities concerning safety, quality, schedule, costs and jobsite cleanliness.Assist in the development of project schedule. Manage the project schedule to ensure milestone dates are achieved.Coordinate with subcontractors to schedule and facilitate all work and complete daily report forms.Review design details, schedule and consider site logistics with subcontractors before the subcontractor mobilizes on-site or begins a particular phase of work.Prepare and conduct pre-installation meetings.Preside of weekly project progress meetings. Provide meeting agendas and documents and distribute meeting minutes.Review design details and subcontractor submittals to avoid conflicts with non-compliant work.Maintain current set of drawings in the field as changes are issued.Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders to be reviewed by Project Manager.Responsible for procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform with work schedules.Confers with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within work force.Communicate effectively and respectfully to customers, subcontractors, and other field personnel.Maintain the highest sense of integrity when handling jobsite situations and issues is essential to the success of someone in this position.Communicate with owner representatives on future and upcoming work to ensure the project schedule is not delayed by the Owner's activities.Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project.Establish project goals, and monitor progress against set goals.Provide the direction and motivation to the crew leaders and subcontractors.Possess a high work ethic, problem solving, moral and personal integrity and honesty. They must instill the same qualities in crew leaders and subcontractors.Must be able to effectively communicate with others, including outside suppliers, customers and employees.Must be mature, flexible and self-motivated.Must exemplify professionalism in personal appearance, manner, and dress and leadership style.Must possess a valid United States Driver's license, be able to pass a drug screen and background check.Other duties include, but not limited to, developing scopes of work, estimating project costs, negotiating final prices for review/approval, and establishing schedules with start and completion times.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThe individual in this position supervises the activities of Marrillia - Personnel, subcontractors and subcontractor's field personnel.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociate's degree or equivalent from 2-year College or technical school; or minimum 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possess or achieve CPR and First Aid certification within 6 months - Paid by MarrilliaPossess or achieve OSHA 30 training and certification within 6 months Paid by MarrilliaLANGUAGE SKILLSIn English - Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical publications or government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, managers, customers, and subcontractors. The ability to speak and understand Spanish is a plus but not required.REASONING ABILITY,TECHNICALSKILLSAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or other forms.The possession of analytical skills relating to Company operations is required. Must be able to use the computer as a tool for accomplishing tasks efficiently. This includes Email, Microsoft Word, Excel and other various software.Mathematical ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Requires mathematical and analytical skills to oversee job completion. Computing and calculating grades and elevations with basic surveying equipment.Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with clients, suppliers and associates communicate primarily in that language.Must be familiar with project scheduling reporting. Marrillia Design and Construction uses Microsoft Project software.Must be able to read, analyze, comprehend and interpret a variety of instructions, specifications, blueprints, data and legal documents and verify work based on these documents.The ability to effectively present information to top management, owners, client's engineer and regulatory agencies.Must possess good interpersonal skills to deal with customers, subordinates and superiors as well as suppliers and clients.Reasoning ability ("logic") is required to resolve interpersonal issues, make effective business decisions and respond to competitive challenges.
