My client is a well-established, reputable General Contractor in Chicago who performs work nationally. They specialize in corporate/office interiors, life-science and healthcare projects, performing over $600M annually with Chicago making up roughly $100M. Due to continued growth and a strong project backlog, they are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Project Engineer to join the team.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and scopes of workInterpret and review construction drawings, specifications, and submittalsTrack and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change ordersCoordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of project milestonesSupport procurement and material trackingConduct job site visits to monitor quality, progress, and compliance with plans and safety standardsDocument daily construction activities, meeting notes, and progress reportsHelp manage project closeout procedures including punch lists and as-builtsWork closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to resolve field issuesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field1+ years experience as a Project Engineer with a GCProficiency in construction management softwareJob Offer$70,000 - $90,000 base salaryBonus opportunityHealth, dental, vision insurance401KPTO
