HR GeneralistWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have experience across HR functions including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. This is a dynamic role supporting both office staff and field employees, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Key ResponsibilitiesOnboarding & CompliancePrepare and send offer letters for office staffFacilitate HR portion of new hire orientationMaintain personnel files (electronic and paper)Ensure compliance with I-9 Employment Eligibility VerificationManage DMV pull notice program and insurance broker communicationsProcess employee terminations, certifications, and updates in HR systemsBenefits AdministrationAssist with benefit renewals, open enrollment, and employee communicationsResolve claims and audit monthly invoicesReview and approve enrollments, cancellations, and changesAdminister leave of absence processes, COBRA, disability, and ACA complianceSupport employees with benefit-related questions and optionsPayrollProcess weekly payroll in compliance with recordkeeping requirementsUpdate payroll systems with pay increases, deductions, garnishments, and 401k changesHandle unemployment audits, VOE requests, EDD claims, and special payroll reportsUpload yearly benefit deductions and manage year-round updatesParticipate in payroll automation projectsAdditional HR FunctionsSupport petty cash management and anniversary awardsParticipate in safety/claims management meetingsEnforce company policies and proceduresManage HR-related inquiries from employees, supervisors, and applicantsAdminister 401k transactions (loans, hardship withdrawals, terminations)Conduct exit interviews and process final paychecks when neededMaintain and develop HR department SOPsQualifications3+ years of HR Generalist experience preferredStrong knowledge of HR compliance, payroll, and benefits administrationExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to handle confidential information with professionalismProficiency in HRIS and payroll systems (experience with S2 a plus)Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
