Back-End Loan Servicing Specialist

HouseMax Funding is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Back-End Loan Servicing Specialist to support our loan servicing operations. This position is critical to ensuring accuracy and efficiency in loan onboarding, payoff validation, batch payment application, reconciliations, and ongoing servicing support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with servicing platforms and a strong understanding of mortgage operations, particularly in bridge and DSCR loan products. Location: This position can be an in-office position in Austin, Texas, or remote. Duties & Responsibilities Onboard new loans into servicing platforms (The Mortgage Office, FCI, Fay) and validate loan data. Review borrower details, payment terms, collateral, and escrow setup for accuracy. Process batch payments (ACH, wires), including reconciliations and adjustments. Prepare, validate, and reconcile payoff quotes and payoff funds. Perform daily cash, wire, and suspense account reconciliations. Support investor reporting, internal audits, and servicing quality control. Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in loan servicing or mortgage operations (back-end servicing preferred). Strong working knowledge of payoffs, reconciliations, and payment posting. Hands-on experience with servicing systems (The Mortgage Office, FCI, Fay preferred). Strong Excel and data accuracy skills. Detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Bridge and DSCR loans. Background in compliance, audit preparation, or investor reporting. Why HouseMax Funding?At HouseMax Funding, we pride ourselves on being more than just a workplace, we are an employer of choice.
