Field Superintendent, DevelopmentLevel Recruiting is seeking a Field Superintendent to work with a construction company that is bringing an innovative approach to address the housing crisis through the building of rapidly deployed ADU's that exemplify quality construction with a minimum impact on the customers time and space. This client already has a pipeline of work and with solid venture capital backing to support growth, they are set to rapidly scale in the future.As Superintendent you will help create our construction processes and train future employees. With a high volume of work that takes involves moving quickly from one location to the next, this role will require hands-on leadership and someone who is strong on management skills like documentation, scheduling and more,Job DutiesSupport 4+ projects at different stagesPlan construction phases and help find vendorsRun daily operations at multiple job sites (site setup, grading, utilities, foundations, landscaping, completion)Manage subcontractors and ensure work meets the client''s standardsKeep projects on schedule and solve problemsCreate daily reports, take photos, document safety, and write weekly progress reportsCheck quality and make sure work follows California building codes, safety rules, and inspectionsTrack paperwork, material deliveries, changes, and punch lists until project completionKeep sites safe through safety meetings, records, and clean job sitesWork with Development Manager, Project Engineer, and Manufacturing/Installation teamsCreate best practices, train staff, and improve processesCoordinate with Installation team for modular home materials and logisticsDocument quality and take progress photos/videosThink about how to improve processes for future hiresQualifications5-10 years of construction leadership as Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent (preferably residential)Experience managing multiple residential construction sites at onceStrong skills reading blueprints and plansExperience with residential construction: site work, wood-frame construction, foundations, utilitiesFamiliar with construction software: Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project/Excel, OpenspaceOSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid/CPR, valid California driver's licenseStrong knowledge of construction materials and methodsKnowledge of building codes and safety standardsGreat communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsExcellent time management and ability to work at multiple sitesInterest in startup equity and mission-driven workBachelor's degree in Construction Management or EngineeringExperience with modular construction workflowsCalifornia contractor's licenseAdditional OSHA certificationsEngineering license or working toward oneLEED or sustainability knowledgeBilingual skillsCompensation and BenefitsSalary: $135-155K plus performance bonusesFree snacks and lunch on office daysEarly employee equityExcellent health, dental, and vision insurance401k after 6 monthsFlexible time offWho We AreLevel Recruiting is a boutique placement firm that works with the best custom home builders in the Bay Area.
