Rockwell Sterling is proud to partner with a leading water/wastewater general contractor to identify an experienced Project Director to lead major projects in the Phoenix, Arizona market.This opportunity is designed for leaders who take ownership of both process and results, empower teams to achieve their best, and drive successful outcomes through strategic planning and execution.What You'll DoProvide executive-level leadership for large-scale water/wastewater construction projects.Oversee interdisciplinary teams to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance.Manage project staffing and financial controls across multiple phases.Guide preconstruction efforts, including bid package development, pre-qualification, and budgeting.Lead high-level meetings, coordinate responses to RFIs, and align stakeholders on project objectives.Assess and mitigate risk, including schedule and procurement challenges tied to long-lead items.Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.Present and implement alternative delivery strategies to optimize outcomes.Direct project close-out and claim resolution.Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership on mission-critical initiatives.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree preferred.10+ years of progressive construction leadership experience.Demonstrated success in estimating, scheduling, budgeting, field supervision, financial reporting, and client management.Strong ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.Willingness to be based in Phoenix, AZ, with flexibility for project-related travel.Why This Opportunity?Lead high-profile projects in the rapidly growing Phoenix market.Partner with one of the nation's most respected water/wastewater contractors.Take on a senior leadership role with real influence over teams, projects, and outcomes.
