Project Engineer (Heavy Civil)Location: Denver, COCompensation: $95,000 - $120,000 + bonus + full benefitsA leading heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support large-scale infrastructure projects across the Denver Metro and surrounding areas. This individual will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure seamless execution of both self-perform and subcontracted work.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with superintendents and field teams to align project goals, schedules, and deliverables.Support Project Managers in ensuring compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA standards.Review, track, and manage project costs, reports, and equipment utilization to ensure accuracy and budget alignment.Assist in project planning, baseline schedule development, and monthly schedule updates.Manage and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.Contribute to specialty formwork/falsework design and detailing as needed.Oversee and support traffic control, equipment mobilization, safety plans, haul road plans, erosion control plans, and procurement activities.Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to drive timely and high-quality project delivery.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field3+ years' experience in heavy civil construction, ideally with DOT or large public works projects.Proficiency in project management systems (Viewpoint, Procore, or similar).Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to thrive in both field and office environments (approx. 60/40 split).Self-motivated and proactive, with a collaborative mindset.Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience)Bonus opportunities401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, vision, and life insurancePaid time off and holidaysVehicle program
