About the jobLighting Workshop is seeking a Lighting Designer to join our team. The candidate is ideally well-rounded in both creative design sensibilities and technical skills, applying their knowledge on a variety of project types during all phases from schematic design through construction administration. We are an award winning architectural lighting design firm based in a sun-filled loft studio in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Salary commensurate with a candidate's experience and qualifications.Responsibilities: You will take part in designing, developing, managing, and documenting a variety of project typesSupport the firm project design process with prodigious design solutions, project imagery, research, and documentationEffectively convey conceptual design solutions to clients and colleagues through graphic design renderingsThe successful candidate will: Be able to work well both individually and in a collaborative studio environmentHave excellent communication skillsBe proficient in communication of design ideas through graphic renderingsRequiredAt least 2 years of Architectural Lighting Design experience. Please include a resume and portfolio along with your applicationProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, familiarity with AGI32 Basic understanding of architectural practices, design protocols and methodsBachelor's Degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, or related is preferredRecommended:LEED Certified or have a basic understanding of green design methodsLocation:The candidate must be able to commute to Brooklyn, NY.Note the office enjoys a flexible hybrid work model with a mix of in-person and remote work each week.We are a dog-friendly office.
