Carpenter

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter I to work on our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. As a key member of our team, the Carpenter I will work closely with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed to the highest level of quality.ResponsibilitiesBuild, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboardRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of workMeasure, mark, and cut materials to the required size and shapeInstall windows, frames, floorings, and trim using hand and power toolsInstall cabinets, counters, and moldingEnsure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of qualityCommunicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budgetDevelop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlinesIdentify and resolve issues that arise during construction projectsOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry preferred3+ years of experience in carpentry, with experience in a construction setting preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsStrong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiencesStrong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvementExperience with government contracts and compliance is a plusA commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
