Position: Commissioning Manager - Hyperscale Data CentersLocation: Phoenix, AZ (On-Site Full-Time)Top 10 Electrical ContractorA top-ranked national electrical contractor is hiring a Commissioning Manager to lead the testing and turnover of hyperscale data center projects in the Phoenix market. This role ensures electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned to meet rigorous client, safety, and performance standards in high-pressure, fast-track environments.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and execute commissioning plans for electrical systems (MV/LV, UPS, generators, switchgear, etc.)Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, engineering, and client teams to validate readinessManage startup, functional testing, and integrated system commissioningEnsure all documentation is complete, accurate, and in alignment with client protocolsTroubleshoot system issues and lead root cause analysis when requiredInterface directly with hyperscale clients, commissioning agents, and design teamsMaintain testing schedules and drive alignment across multiple commissioning phasesLead turnover efforts and support final acceptance by client teams.Required Skills & Experience:8+ years of experience in electrical commissioning, startup, or QA/QC"”preferably in mission-critical environmentsStrong understanding of complex power systems, backup infrastructure, and controlsExperience with hyperscale data center commissioning or large MEP systemsAbility to lead testing teams and coordinate with diverse project stakeholdersFamiliarity with commissioning software, reporting tools, and standards (e.g., ASHRAE/NIBS)Preferred Qualifications:Background in electrical contracting or field engineeringCommissioning certifications (CxA, BCxP, LEED Cx) a plusOSHA 30 and strong safety leadership credentials
