Accounting Manager

Our client, a mission driven real estate firm in Bethesda, MD, is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to help lead its accounting department. The accounting manager will manage a team of five and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the central accounting department to include all general accounting functions.ResponsibilitiesAccounting functions including property accounting, bond/fund accounting and accounting operationsOversee the agency auditPlan, organize and direct the preparation of all financial statementsDesign and implement a cash management systemReview, approve or correct financial records produced from YardiManage staff, conduct performance reviewsQualificationsSeven years of accounting experience requiredTwo years of experience on a managerial role requiredReal Estate industry experience desiredBachelor's degree in accounting or financeKnowledge of accounting principles, practices, governmental accounting, grant, cost accounting, bonds
