Senior Preconstruction Manager

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction planning and execution for diverse projects across residential, senior housing, affordable housing, hospitality, life sciences, corporate, educational, and retail markets. This role will be partnered closely with Project Executives, Estimators, and field operations teams to ensure projects are set up for success from concept through construction.Key Responsibilities:Develop detailed preconstruction schedules and logistics plansSupport estimating and buyout processesCreate and implement field procedures, including staff trainingMentor and guide field staff to support career growthManage and support preconstruction team members (coordinators, engineers, estimators)Review and validate estimates, identify key scopes, and coordinate qualificationsOversee subcontractor relationships and monitor market conditionsLead buyout process with Project ManagersPrepare schematic, conceptual, and sitework estimatesCoordinate across departments to deliver complete packages to ownersParticipate in all preconstruction meetings, ensuring clear communication and follow-upDrive value engineering, systems studies, and comparative cost analysisQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred10-15 years of construction management/preconstruction experienceProficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExcellent organizational, time management, and communication skillsProven leadership, mentorship, and subcontractor/vendor management experienceStrong problem-solving and analytical capabilitiesWhat You Bring:Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExceptional presentation and client communication skillsA collaborative, team-first approach with a focus on mentoring and developmentMilitary experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.Equal Opportunity StatementUSPRO is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, disability and/or other protected categories.
