This includes but is not limited to, supervising the timeliness of daily, weekly, and monthly CTA duties and workflow. Interviewing, hiring, terming, and training new CTAs in their responsibilities. Reviewing schedules and managing labor costs and overtime. Completing annual performance reviews and competencies. Observing and evaluating employees and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service is met.Review medication orders, certifications, recertifications, and verbal admit order form. Works directly with physicians to obtain orders for CTIs, addendums and medication review for HEAs. Take verbal orders as needed and follow appropriate protocols to ensure completion.Evaluates and audits charts to ensure highest quality of charting. Communicate any deficiencies with Branch Leadership and Compliance Team.Review medical records from the local level to ensure proper documentation to maximize quality of care, compliance, and reimbursement.Monitors aged unsigned physician orders and submits second and third requests for signed orders to overdue physicians, calls or visits the offices of seriously overdue physicians.Schedules and lead bi-monthly Bill Hold meetings to review agency Bill Holds and collaborates with Clinical Leaderships Teams to obtain what is needed to release unbilled Claims.Supervises the use of the clinical records information system and maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of the system including upgrades and enhancements.Responsible for maintaining patients' charts according to branch policy.Assists the Executive Director and supervisors in the support of the field staff and ensure scheduling and client needs are met.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Three to five years' experience in clinical records management, preferably in hospice care operations.Two years manager or supervisory experience in hospice, home care or other healthcare fieldsLVN/LPN license preferred, but not requiredPrior use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferred.Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.Experience with insurance billing and ICD-9/10 CodesStrong managerial, communication, and interpersonal skills with the potential and attitude for learning and growth.Must have excellent observation, good judgment, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.Understands hospice philosophy and issues of death/dying.Must be well organized, accurate, and attentive to detail.Knowledge of pertinent state, federal, and local regulatory requirements.Exhibits organizational skills and is systematic in carrying out intake duties.
