Honor your commitments; Go beyond expectations with excellence.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Manage, using Core Values, all Dallas flooring estimators and they report directly to youVacation, L&D, Reviews, Etc.Know market and pricingManage Projections with BDWork with BD directlyKnow customer base and types of jobs (Build relationships with PreCon of companies)Allocate estimators to jobs (know strengths and weaknesses)Manage Building ConnectedBid not to bidAnalyze wins and lossesReview Bids (scope, bid forms, bonds, etc.)Needs assessment and hiringTrain EstimatorsEstimating 10-20% Managing (reviewing bids and training) 70% Sales 10%Scorecard: Hitting Core targets, Estimate $4 mil in Dallas, TouchesCollaborate on when to take a job and notTiming, manpower allocation, leadership, type of jobEnsure your team is competent in:Estimating through Planswift Estimating ProgramThoroughly analyze drawings and specificationsUnderstand contractual terms and conditionsLearn to provide clear detailed quantity take offsAssemble estimates and proposalsReceive manufacture proposals for material quotes for estimating purposesOrganize paper trail of bid, proposal, specs, quotes, etc. in a clear methodReview and Analyze scheduleLog in Building connectedAbility to engage the GC on follow upsCall customers to learn about the FRP'sKey Competencies:Wet-apply commercial floor coating experience (Epoxy, Resinous etc...) requiredHigh level of fluency reading plans, specifications & related documentsStrong eye for detailAble to maintain focus & deliver against deadlinesAbove average written & verbal communication and math skillsFlexibility to work in fast-paced environment, variable working hours both in office & field.Enjoy various challenges with a multitasked position from takeoff to salesGreat attitudeQualifications:Experience and familiarity with construction industryCompetent with technology and programs PlanSwift, Plan Grid, Building Connected & MS Office Suite, specifically ExcelGraduate in engineering, architectural or construction management program is an asset.Management experienceBilingual English/Spanish a plusPhysical Requirements:Representative of those that must be met by employee, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
