Patient Service CoordinatorSCHEDULE: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8-Hour Shifts |SALARY RANGE: $20-$30/hour, commensurate with experienceSTART DATE: October 2025 BENEFITS: Benefit-eligible position, including: • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Paid time off (PTO) • Retirement plan (401k)OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:Client is seeking a compassionate, highly organized, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Patient Services Coordinator to join our growing team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, handling check-in, payment collection, appointment scheduling, and overall front desk operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive experience.Check patients in for appointments, verify insurance information, and collect payments.Obtain medical records and authorizations as needed. Schedule patient appointments, coordinate follow-up visits, and conduct patient reminder calls as needed. Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize scheduling and patient flow.Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.Troubleshoot scheduling and front desk issues, escalating as appropriate.Perform additional administrative duties as assigned, such as scanning, filing, and assisting other departments.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or GED Required; Associate's degree or MA certification - Preferred.1+ year of experience in a healthcare front desk, medical scheduling, or administrative role RequiredStrong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new healthcare software quickly.Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.DESIREABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCEFamiliarity with oncology or radiation oncology workflows.Familiarity with OncoEMR. Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience with insurance verification, authorizations, patient billing, and/or medical record collection.Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
