Position SummaryThe Proposal Development Specialist supports business development efforts through proposal writing, grant application development, and market research. This role manages the full proposal process, ensures compliance with government contracting requirements, and contributes to overall growth initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify new opportunities by monitoring RFP databases, researching markets, and tracking industry trends.Manage the proposal process: coordinate with subject matter experts, draft and edit content, maintain templates, and ensure compliance with RFP requirements and deadlines.Oversee federal and government contracting compliance, including FAR documentation, registrations in systems such as SAM.gov and GSA, and risk management activities.Support business development by creating client presentation materials, assisting with follow-ups, and supporting contract negotiations.CompetenciesStrong project management skills to balance multiple deadlines.Business acumen and analytical skills to evaluate RFPs and develop competitive responses.Excellent written and verbal communication; able to craft compelling proposals.Self-starter with initiative, drive, and attention to detail.Qualifications3-5 years' experience in business development, proposal or grant writing, or marketing/communications, ideally in a professional services setting.Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Business Administration, or Marketing (Master's preferred).Proven success managing complex proposals and RFP responses.Knowledge of federal, state, and local contracting processes.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).Knowledge of the healthcare industry preferred.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
