Maintenance Machinist

Key Responsibilities:Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses to produce or repair parts.Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand specifications for parts and equipment.Utilize the work order system (Emaint) to receive maintenance tasks.Perform routine maintenance on machine tools to ensure proper functioning and accuracy.Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery and equipment, identifying the root cause of problems.Fabricate or modify parts using a variety of metals and materials, ensuring they meet required specifications.Collaborate with Maintenance Mechanics and other team members to support maintenance activities and achieve production goals.Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and productive work environment.Keep accurate records of work performed, including repairs, modifications, and maintenance tasks.Assist production in Mill Changeovers, tooling changeovers and jaw replacement.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is a plus.Proven experience as a Maintenance Machinist or similar role in an industrial setting.Proficiency in operating a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Strong knowledge of machining processes and techniques.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
