The Assistant Project Superintendent's primary responsibility is to plan, lead and coordinate subcontractors' and/or craft employees' work activities for an assigned project. The Assistant Project Superintendent has full responsibility for reviewing specifications and drawings, budgets, and scopes with the Superintendent and/or Project Manager, assisting with the development of a site-specific Safety Program and site logistics & utilization plan.The Assistant Project Superintendent is also responsible for assisting with the development of the master project schedule by identifying field labor, material, and equipment requirements, planning and execution of required commissioning activities, facilitating closeout/final acceptance processes, and demobilizing the project site.Additional responsibilities include maintaining proper signage and notices, assisting with preparation of daily Superintendent reports, ensuring current contract documents are used by subcontractors, verifying the skill level of trades people, and conducting regular staff meetings.The Assistant Project Superintendent performs all essential functions and responsibilities in conjunction with the company's values and beliefs and in alignment with Codaray's policies so that the client's full satisfaction and Codaray's expected levels of safety, quality and profitability are obtained.QUALIFICATIONSMust exhibit Codaray Construction's Core Values (Integrity, Passion, Unity, Sustainability, Humility)Bachelor's degree in construction/engineering or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience requiredMinimum of two (2) years construction or similar experience, preferably in a leadership capacityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEfficiency in Microsoft Office and other construction software utilized by the companyAbility to interpret construction documentsSelf-motivated and ability to adapt to assigned tasksAbility to lead and evaluate craft performanceAdvanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documentsKEY COMPETENCIESInnovative mindset and constantly seeking ways to improve operationsAbility to prioritize and be self-motivatedConfident, yet humble, with ability to listenFlexible, adaptable to change, and willing to helpBENEFITSCompetitive Base Salary with bonus opportunityExceptional Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Cancer, Accident, Critical IllnessCompany paid life insurance & short-term disabilityFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)401(k) match up to 5%Well-being and Employee Assistance ProgramsCompany Truck/Allowance & Fuel CardPaid Time Off9 Company HolidaysEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramFitness Reimbursement ProgramVirtual & In-person Company GatheringsContinuing EducationLOCATION Ridgeland, MississippiCodaray is an equal opportunity employer.
