Our client realizes the core strength of our Company is the individuals they employ, and are proud to employ some of the most talented individuals in the construction industry.The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for contract administration, planning, cost control, and overall project leadership and job site management to ensure that projects are constructed in accordance with contract requirements, budget, and schedule. The PM is responsible for P&L of the entire project, managing the field forces and project team in delivering projects on time and schedule.Responsibilities:Provide leadership and carry out our client's safety culture in day-to-day operations and TEAM meetingsAssure compliance with our clients Safety and Quality ProgramsCoordinate labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material suppliersEnsure Safety, and TEAM goals are met, participates with crew in daily input, meetings, and follow-upResponsible for all project correspondence to and from owner, subcontractors, and suppliersReview and approve all project payables and payment requestsPrepare, review, approve and certify all project change proposals and/or claimsAssist with estimating projects.Perform Monthly cost ReportsCoordinate the project needs between project superintendents, project & field engineers, and any other project support requirementsNegotiate with subcontractors and owners on job specific mattersAct as Project EEO OfficerVerify invoices from vendorsProvide progress reportsMentor and develop project staffEnsure compliance with EEO/Affirmative Action contract requirementsResponsible for successful job close-outAssist in identifying market opportunities for assigned region by establishing and maintaining effective contact with owners, subs, suppliers and potential clientsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 5 years' experience in construction; specifically in Dirt, Underground and StructuresExperience in budget managementAbility to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of individualsHigh level of analytical abilityAbility to perform in high stress situations and demonstrate leadershipExperience with CPM scheduling in Primavera P6, and/or Microsoft ProjectKnowledge of HCSS or Bid2Win or Equivalent software desiredBenefitsAnnual BonusMedical & Dental Insurance401(k) Savings Plan w/company matchHolidays/Vacation/Sick LeaveCompany Vehicle/fuel card/cell phone/computerAbout Peterson ConsultingAs an Executive Search firm serving potential employees in the heavy civil, heavy highway, treatment plant, renewable energy and commercial construction industry, Peterson Consulting has 30 years of experience matching you with the best companies in the industry for positions best suited to your experience and talent.
