General Summary The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating airport (landside and airfield) construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role involves managing (inspecting and supervising) diverse construction projects, working with a multi-discipline team of architects, engineers, and subcontractors.. This Construction Manager plays a crucial role in managing the workflow and providing direction, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, satisfy safety compliance and meet regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong leader who can manage teams, communicate and report effectively with the project team, and navigate the complexities of large-scale infrastructure projects.All duties shall be carried out in compliance with the client's policies and procedures and State / Federal statutes that may apply.Responsibilities:The key duties and responsibilities of this Construction Manager include:Overseeing subcontractors, site staff, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, building codes, and health and safety regulations.Communicating regularly with the project team of architects, engineers and other field personnel to provide progress updates and address project requirements.Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and specifications.Manage projects pursuant to schedules, and timelines.Monitor compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.Supervise and mentor on-site teams and personnel.Ensure proper documentation and reporting throughout all phases of construction, utilizing Procore (a must-have skill).Qualifications:Proven ability to manage and deliver infrastructure construction projects, particularly in areas such as transportation, utilities, or public works.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Adept at using project management software and tools.No objection to some night work on airside / airfield projects as may be requested.Experience Requirements:Minimum 7-10 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a focus on infrastructure projects.Demonstrated participation on large-scale projects.Proven capability in work supervision, in-field inspection and routine reporting (via Procore)Experience working within regulatory frameworks and obtaining necessary permits.Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) are highly desirable.Work Environment / ConditionsThe work environment and exposures described here are representative of those the Construction Manager encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
