Our expert team delivers world-class, comprehensive, and compassionate care to patients and families affected by bleeding, clotting, and other hematologic conditions.About the Role:As a Genetic Counselor (GC), you'll play a key role in delivering personalized genetic counseling services to patients and families referred to the Indiana Hematology Initiative (IHI). You'll educate, assess risk, interpret genetic information, and support patients through informed decision-making regarding their care and options.You will serve individuals with:Bleeding and clotting disordersHemoglobinopathiesHereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT)Lymphatic or vascular anomaliesOther rare hematologic or suspected genetic conditionsWhat You'll Do:Review medical/family history and assess genetic risksProvide comprehensive, culturally sensitive genetic counselingCoordinate and interpret genetic testingDocument findings and update family pedigrees in the IHI Genetics RegistryCollaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to develop patient plansOffer support and education related to reproductive options and diagnosis-specific needsAttend case conferences and contribute to ongoing education and resource developmentParticipate in outreach and occasional travel to serve regional patients (1–2x/month)What You Bring:Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or related fieldABGC or ACMG board certification (or board-eligible)3+ years of relevant experienceIndiana Genetic Counseling License (or ability to obtain)Valid driver's license and insured vehicleA passion for patient-centered care and genetic educationWhat We Offer:Competitive salary: $85,000 – $95,000Full benefits packageHybrid work option after 90 daysTravel reimbursement for outreach visits (gas, lodging, meals covered)A collaborative, mission-focused environment dedicated to improving livesReady to Make a Difference?Help shape the future of rare hematologic care.
