Facilities Supervisor

Abacus is looking to hire a Facilities Supervisor in the Northeast/Elkton, MD area. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Supervise daily facility operations including building maintenance, repair work, janitorial services, and groundskeeping.Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for warehouse equipment, HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, dock doors, and other infrastructure.Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA, fire, safety, and environmental regulations.Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance, inspections, or repairs.Oversee inventory of facility supplies, tools, and maintenance equipment.Collaborate with warehouse operations leadership to ensure facility readiness supports operational needs.Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and implement corrective actions.Manage facility budget, including cost control for repairs, utilities, and contracted services.Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance and custodial staff.Recommend and oversee facility upgrades, energy-saving initiatives, and capital improvement projects.Conduct regular facility inspections and maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and compliance documentation.Preferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.3–5 years of experience in facility or warehouse maintenance, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.Knowledge of OSHA, fire, and safety regulations in an industrial/warehouse setting.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or work order systems preferred.Strong communication skills to work with staff, contractors, and leadership Onsite, full-time, 1st shift
