Reporting to the SVP, Senior Corporate Counsel, the paralegal will play a crucial role in ensuring legal compliance, managing risk and streamlining the contracting process with outside vendors. The ideal candidate will help ensure that contractual agreements are legally sound, well-managed and effectively support business strategies while minimizing potential risks.This is an on-site (non-remote) position based at our Plano, TX headquarters location.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Assisting attorneys in negotiating contract terms with third parties to ensure favorable terms and adherence to internal policies and risk mitigation standardsAssist in house counsel and internal business unit owners on the design and deployment of contract lifecycle management solutionsOversee large-scale projects related to contracts and third-party risk managementInnovate and streamline processes to enhance operational efficiencyOverseeing the entire contract lifecycle, from initial requests to execution along with managing contract repositories and templates, including tracking deadlines, milestones and deliverablesSupporting vendor onboarding and compliance processesHelping with document retention requirements and overseeing contract status meetingsLiaising and collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information for contract negotiation and developmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and client satisfactionProviding paralegal services to the legal team, including serving as an assistant secretary preparing meeting minutes, preparing state filings (e.g., state and local licenses, permits, registrations) and other paralegal responsibilities as needed by the legal teamProviding added administrative support to the legal team, including managing invoices, processing payments and other administrative support as needed by the legal teamAll other duties assigned by managerQualifications (Education, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):Minimum of five years as a paralegal or contract manager with strong working knowledge of all areas of third-party contract mattersStrong knowledge of the vendor management (third party risk management) life cycle and related regulatory requirements for a financial institutionStrong foundation in contract law, legal terminology and legal research methodologiesExperience with Venminder or contract management/TPRM platforms is a plusMeticulous organizational skills and attention to detail with extensive experience in reviewing contracts and other documents to minimize errors and ensure accuracy in legal documentationExceptional written and verbal communication skills, including drafting and managing various contract typesAbility to utilize various legal software, including case management systems and document management softwareUnderstanding of risk management principles and ability to assist in identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with vendor relationships and contractsAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentialityBenefits options include: Medical, dental and vision coverage401K with company match10 paid holidaysAccrue up to 17 vacation/sick days per year in your first year on a pro rata basisApplicant may be eligible for annual discretionary bonusNo relocation assistance provided.If you are looking to be a part of a winning team and meet the above requirements, we look forward to hearing from you.Monet Bank and their affiliates are Equal Opportunity Employers.
