A health services organization in Northern Massachusetts is currently seeking a Social Worker (LCSW) to join their growing team.About the Opportunity:Schedule: Monday to FridayHours: 8:30am to 5pm Responsibilities:Assess emotional factors related to terminal illness, as well as environmental resources and obstacles to maintain safetyProvide emotional support, short-term crisis intervention, and individual and/or family counselingMaintain contact with appropriate community agencies and services in order to promote interagency cooperation and to facilitate related referralsEvaluate patient/family response to psychosocial interventionsAssess special needs related to cultural diversity, including communication, space, role of family members, and special traditionsPerform comprehensive initial psychosocial assessmentsAssess the patient/family psychosocial status, potential for risk of suicide, and/or abuse or neglectPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:Master's Degree in Social WorkActive Massachusetts Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and/or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)Solid understanding of Hospice philosophy related to families in crisis and end-of-life issuesStrong verbal and written communication skillsDesired Skills:1+ year of related Social Work experienceHospice background
