The Lawrence County Health Department (county position) is seeking a full time or part time clinical dentist to serve uninsured , TennCare adults and children. No weekends or on-call rotations. Full support staff to administer scheduling, billing, and claims.Are you ready to leave the private sector and the related worries with working in or owning your own private practice? The Tennessee Department of Health is seeking to hire a dedicated Public Health Dentist.Key Responsibilities:Provide Clinical dental services to patients to prevent or eliminate dental disease.Facilitate onboarding, training and continuing education of assigned staff and their work.Utilize quality improvement methods to ensure and maintain efficient and effective clinic processes, including patient flow.Analyze monthly productivity reports to identify issues or areas of improvement.Monitor clinical productivity and review other clinical reports on a regular basis.Identifying the developmental needs of others, coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.Supervise local dental care staff, including supervisory administrative duties and performance management activities.Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations prescribed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry and the Tennessee Department of Health Essential to the control of preventable diseases and maintenance of dental health.Minimum Qualifications:Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) dental licensure in the State of Tennessee is required.Unrestricted DEA license is required.Proficiency in aseptic technique and medical imagingExperience with Dentrix or similar practice management softwareStrong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, medical terminology, and anatomyFamiliarity with medical documentation, records, coding, and Epic software is a plusCandidate should be a self-directed problem solver possessing excellent clinical skills and significant clinical mentoring experience.The State of Tennessee offers great benefits includingConvenient Working Hours, Monday through Friday, 37.5 Hours per WeekNo Weekend or After-Hours Call DutyAffordable Insurance Premiums for Health, Dental, and VisionAnnual and Sick Leave15 Holidays off with pay for full-time employeesRetirement, 401K, 457K Plan OptionsPOTENTIAL LOAN REPAYMENT FOR QUALIFYING CANDIDATESSalarySalary for full time employment is $156,000/ year plus benefits.
