We're currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Right Response (or comparable program) trained Paraprofessional to join a collaborative academic team in Skagit County, WA. This is a part-time, in-person, 1x1 role supporting a High School student for the 25/26 school year. Experience in behavioral support and physical management is required for this role. RequiredParaprofessional Certificate: Issued by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) in Washington State. Position Details:Location: Skagit County, WA. In-person (no virtual or hybrid options)Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PMGuaranteed Weekly Hours: 12+ hours a weekGrade Level: High School (1:1 support for a single student)Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 support to a high school student, assisting with emotional regulation and behavior management using individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies.Implement the student's Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and collect data to track progress.Assist the student in developing social and communication skills, including conflict resolution.Support the student during classroom activities, transitions, and learning tasks.Collaborate with teachers, behavior teams, and support staff to ensure consistent, individualized support.Foster a safe and supportive environment that encourages positive behavior and learning.Qualifications:High school diploma/GED and at least two years of study at a higher education institution, at the Associate's level or higher, ORKnowledge of and experience utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis strategies.Experience supporting students with disabilities in an academic setting.
