The Speech & Hearing Center at Signal Centers is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic clinical team!About the RoleThe Speech & Hearing Center is looking for a full-time speech-language pathologist to provide diagnostic and treatment services to patients with communication deficits. This individual will be in a clinical-based setting targeting a pediatric caseload.ResponsibilitiesAdministering formal test measures to assess a person's receptive and expressive language skills, processing abilities, voice quality, fluency, articulation, oral motor abilities and functional communication skills.Performing speech-language screenings to children and adults, making the appropriate recommendations as needed. This may include further testing, referral to other agencies or direct enrollment in a therapy program.Administering therapy, which includes establishing treatment goals and conducting individual or group therapy sessions, in order to achieve pre-set goals.Performing consultative and counseling services to individuals and family members with communication deficits.Maintaining patient clinical files, which may include diagnosis, assessment reports, progress reports, discharge summaries, plan of treatment, letters of correspondence and chronological documentation of events related to the patient's care.Working with the director of speech pathology to ensure that all screenings, evaluations and therapy sessions are scheduled promptly. The speech pathologist will be responsible for his/her clinical schedule, monitoring time frames and utilizing time efficiently.Working in collaboration with on-site physical and occupational therapists to provide comprehensive care for patients.Maintaining the appropriate number of continuing education hours for the maintenance of state licensure.Supervising speech-language pathology assistants and student, as needed.Participating in public service activities and marketing functions to promote the Center in the community, as needed.QualificationsMaster's degree in speech pathologyCertificate of clinical competence from ASHAState licensure eligible (as approved to practice by the State Board of Examiners in Speech Pathology and Audiology) for the states of Tennessee and GeorgiaClinical fellow welcomedBilingual specialty a plusWe believe in supporting our employees and their families as they journey throughout life.
