Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role is pivotal in managing the end-to-end supply chain"”from production through customer service. You'll serve as a key liaison between FoodStory Brands and our customers, ensuring exceptional service through seamless coordination with production and logistics partners.Essential Job FunctionsLogistics & Freight ManagementServe as the subject matter expert for logistics, including warehousing, transportation, and order managementAnalyze freight costs and identify the most cost-effective shipping options by sourcing and comparing rate quotes from qualified 3PLsConfirm item dimensions and case cube to determine optimal shipping specificationsEvaluate national freight averages and collaborate with leadership to negotiate ratesCalculate freight and storage costs per unit for prepaid shipping optionsBuild and manage shipping schedules based on incoming POs and customer delivery requirementsCoordinate with co-packers and 3PLs to schedule and book outbound shipmentsReview BOLs and PODs to confirm OTIF delivery and update internal systems accordinglyDispute inaccurate freight charges with carriers or customers when necessaryContinuously seek new 3PL partners to support business growthForecasting & Sales AnalysisCollaborate with Sales to estimate weekly and annual volume needsAnalyze sales trends, seasonality, and promotional activity to inform production forecastsCommunicate forecast changes with production facilities and sales teamsEnsure inventory levels support healthy turns while avoiding MUMD and stockoutsProduction Scheduling & Inventory ManagementMonitor inventory levels at production facilities and external warehousesCoordinate transportation to replenish off-site warehouses as neededTrack product shelf life and proactively manage potential overproduction risksPartner with Sales to offload excess inventory through promotions, outlet channels, or donationsEnsure all outbound product meets shelf-life and quality standardsPurchase Order ManagementReview customer POs for compliance with MOQs and delivery timelinesValidate costing and promotional discounts with PMs and SalesEnsure POs are accurately entered into internal systems via EDI or manual entryCross-Functional Collaboration & SupportPartner with PMs and Marketing to support basic logistical needsAssist with special projects and process improvements as assignedCommunicate effectively across departments to ensure alignment and executionKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field3-5 years of experience in supply chain or logistics, preferably within the CPG industryEntrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, 'no task is too small' attitudeStrong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborateHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plusAnalytical thinker with a knack for solving problems and improving processesWhy Join Us?Be part of a fast-growing, innovative company that values creativity and agilityWork with a passionate team that's redefining the food and beverage spaceOpportunity to make a real impact and grow your career in a collaborative environment
