Position: Pathologist PhysicianType: ContractStart Date: 11/03/2025Contract duration: 12 Months + possible extension/conversion to FTEOpenings: 1Location: Milwaukee, WI 53295Application Deadline: 09/30/2025Position Overview:MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Board-Certified Pathologist Physician to join its Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service. This physician-level role involves delivering comprehensive Anatomic Pathology care to Veterans, in line with the standards established by the American Board of Pathology (ABPATH)The Pathologist Physician will provide diagnostic expertise in surgical and anatomic pathology, ensuring the highest quality of patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide physician-level Anatomic and Surgical Pathology servicesMeet turnaround time requirements for pathology cases as defined by VHA policy.Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (VISTA and CPRS systems).Participate in clinical decision-making and provide consultative pathology services.Education & Certification:MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.Board certification in Anatomic Pathology from the American Society for Clinical PathologyExperience:Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within the past 3 years.Licensure:Full, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. State, Territory, or District of Columbia.Skills & Competencies:Proficient in written and spoken English.Computer literate with experience in electronic patient records.Knowledge of VHA policies, procedures, and patient care standards.Compliance Requirements:Completion of required training, credentials, competencies, and background checks.Ability to meet any new mandatory education or competency reassessment requirements during the contract period.Two forms of identification required for badge issuance (REAL ID mandatory).Work ScheduleMonday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.No weekends, holidays, or overtime required.Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service operates 24/7.Equal Employment OpportunityAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
