It's the way you want to be treated.Position Summary: The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates the physical therapy needs of assigned patients, establishes goals with the patient and plans, develops and implements individual physical therapy programs designed to improve patient mobility and independent function. The PT provides age and developmentally appropriate care to pediatric to geriatric patients. Effectively interacts with patients, doctors and other healthcare members. Responsible for overseeing PTA as requested. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assess, plan, treat, evaluate and implement a POC for all clients seenProvides supportive supervision of PTA's and PT / PTA studentsDemonstrates understanding of admission process, treatment costs, coding, financial support & appropriate billingPractices within the scope of APTA standards and Code of EthicsCommunicates and interacts with patients, families, physicians and staff demonstrating behavior consistent with the hospital's core values Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habitsProvides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of ConductCompletes documentation of all patient care activities in a timely manner in the electronic medical record.Develop professional skills by defining and completing appropriate Development plans, participating in continuing education and in-service offerings, using written resources to keep current with advancements in the field and seeks out resources with recognized expertise within and outside the Department to enhance quality of care.Interpersonal skills are needed to communicate with other health care professionals and establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.Uphold professional standards and responsibilities by achieving service competence and applying evidence-based interventions to promote quality in practice.Ability to transfer and position patients.Includes Saturday and Sunday rotation work as applicable. Required QualificationsEducation and TrainingCompletion of a Master's or Doctorate degree program from an accredited college or universityWork requires the level of knowledge acquired by completing a Master's program in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or universityCurrent CPR certification requiredCurrent license as a Physical Therapist from the State of Illinois Work Shift Details:Registry,Level III: paid at $52/hour with $3 weekend differential, minimum 2 weekend shifts/month, and 1 approved holiday shift of the 6 recognized Silver Cross Holidays/yearLevel IV: paid at $55/hour with $3 weekend differential, minimum 4 weekend shifts/month, and 1 approved holiday shift of the 6 recognized Silver Cross Holidays/year
