Our clinicians work side by side with the Washington University School of Medicine Departments of Orthopedic and Neurosurgery at Barnes Jewish and Children's Hospitals in Saint Louis, Missouri.Streamline O+P is not like anything you have seen! Streamline practitioners' partner with the Level I trauma MDs to create custom devices for unique and specific surgeries not done anywhere else in the country. Custom devices for adult and pediatric patients are built on site using non-contact 3D optical scanners to capture our patient's shape which has proven to be much faster and provide greater accuracy than plaster casts. Using computer-based 3D design software tools that allow for quick application of anatomical corrections to the scanned shape we can create the desired custom form. Our O+P design specific 3 axis high- speed carver automatically machines a precise, lightweight foam mold to provide a highly customized fit for our devices.We offer an onsite fabrication facility which fosters routine opportunity to collaborate with our fabrication staff offering an efficient and high-quality outcome for our patients.In addition to our complex, acute care patients, our pediatric population continues to grow at an exponential rate! Working with Missouri First Steps Program, we have been successfully transitioning our patients to school based programs and outpatient clinics and providing custom orthotics as they grow and progress toward their functional mobility goals across the continuum of care. Strategically positioned in midtown Saint Louis, just blocks from Barnes Jewish, Children's and Saint Louis University Hospitals, our office provides a modern and welcoming environment to our patients and staff. We are the first in the area to provide a therapy dog for our patients and families. We hope you are that someone we have been searching for to be a part of our carefully designed collaborative approach to patient care.We offer a competitive salary and benefits package with bonus structure and 401K investment opportunities as well as individualized financial planning with Undivided Wealth certified financial planners.Our ideal candidate will have the opportunity to blend clinical and technical skills to evaluate patients, custom design, fabricate and fit orthoses/prostheses in order to deliver exceptional outcomes for the patients they work with.Job Responsibilities:Collaborate with physicians in the evaluation and analysis of a patient's need for orthotic/prosthetic servicesExamine and evaluate patient needs in relation to disease and functional lossFormulate design of orthotic/prosthetic devicesUse of state-of-the-art Cam Cad Design Scanning and fabrication softwareSelect materials, make cast measurements, model modifications, and layouts, considering new techniques and materialsPerform fitting, including static and dynamic alignmentEvaluate the orthotic/prosthetic device on patient, adjust to assure fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of workInstruct patient in use of orthotic/ prosthetic devicesIdentify and reconcile issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with devices providedProvide follow-up with patients and physiciansProvide in-service training to physicians and allied health care professionalsUtilize effective materials management, quality and performance processes to maximize device quality and medical efficacy, maintaining a proper balance with costs and operational/financial performanceMeet with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other referral sources to review orthotic and/or prosthetic services and capabilities; develop and enhance business relationships to identify and secure ongoing and future sources or referralsPlan and implement strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets in coordination with managementProvide detailed clinical notes to patient records using O+P specific software designed for office or bedside useMentor residents or newly certified cliniciansProvide assistance to and work in collaborations with other clinical staffProvide information to and work in collaboration with administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activitiesAdhere to all safety regulations;
