Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility based in Agoura Hills, CA 91301, USA This is a 3 -month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Job Title: Lab Assistant I Location Agoura Hills, CA 91301, USADuration: 3 Months+ Pay rate: $18-$19Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday; 3rd shift @10pm - 6:30AM; 3rd shift A Lab Assistant will be working in a high volume, production-based environment performing a vital component of clinical lab science.Essential Job Duties:• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.• Sort specimens into their appropriate department or hamilton pipetting.• Assists with loading and unloading of specimens on the Hamilton pipetting platform including capping and uncapping samples, labeling aliquot tubes, pulling errors, and sorting aliquots.• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.• Returns specimens to appropriate locations.• Performs discard and relocation of specimen racks.• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.• Adhere to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodies.• Documents all quality assurance activities as necessary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubleshooting, and quality control to ensure regulatory compliance.• Follows any other job-related instructions and performs any other job-related duties requested by department management.Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 15lbs. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Must pass a standardized color blindness test.Required Work Experience: Previous medical/lab or production experience is preferred. Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills preferred.Working Conditions: This is a fast-paced production environment that has established turn-around times.
