Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Traffic Engineering Leader to help build and manage a traffic engineering group within the Texas market. This leadership role is pivotal in expanding our presence across the state, mentoring staff, and guiding strategic growth both regionally and company-wide.The ideal candidate will be energetic, entrepreneurial, and have a proven ability to pursue and manage transportation projects with state agencies, municipalities, counties, and regional planning organizations.Location:Open to multiple office locations across Texas.Key Responsibilities:Lead with integrity and sound business principlesDevelop and execute business strategies and plansEstablish and track goals for the traffic engineering groupBuild and maintain strong client relationshipsFoster open communication across teams and leadershipGrow and direct the roadway design practiceHire, mentor, and manage staff at all levelsPursue and manage transportation projects with state and local agenciesEnsure quality and timeliness of deliverablesPrepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and project schedulesRepresent the company in client meetings and industry eventsEmbrace and implement new technologies and approachesQualifications:Minimum of 16 years of experience in transportation project designBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's or advanced degree preferred)Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in TexasStrong knowledge of state transportation policies and proceduresProven track record of growing engineering teams and building relationshipsExcellent communication and business development skillsExperience in project management and team leadershipWillingness to travel to project sites, offices, and client meetingsPositive attitude and collaborative mindsetCommitment to continuous learning and professional growthBenefits:Flexible work schedule optionsCompetitive salaryPaid leave and holidaysComprehensive healthcare coverageGroup and optional life insuranceShort- and long-term disability insuranceFlexible spending accounts (medical and dependent care)401(k) retirement planTuition reimbursementEmployee assistance programParental and maternity leave benefitsNote:Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
