This is where you can do your best work!Director, Human ResourcesLocation - Redmond, WAJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead our HR function. The Director will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation, benefits, and compliance with labor laws and industry regulations. This role will play a critical part in fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture while aligning HR strategies with the company's goals of delivering cutting-edge medical solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's mission, growth objectives, and operational needs in the medical equipment manufacturing sector.Talent Acquisition & Retention: Oversee recruitment efforts to attract top talent, including engineers, technicians, and administrative staff, while ensuring a robust onboarding process and retention programs.Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, managing conflict resolution, employee engagement initiatives, and fostering a collaborative work environment.Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as industry-specific regulations (e.g., FDA standards impacting workforce training and safety).Compensation & Benefits: Design and manage competitive compensation structures and benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs tailored to employee needs.Training & Development: Lead the creation of training programs to enhance technical skills, leadership development, and compliance with manufacturing and safety protocols.Performance Management: Implement and oversee performance evaluation systems to drive accountability, productivity, and professional growth across all departments.HR Metrics & Reporting: Analyze HR data (e.g., turnover rates, employee satisfaction) to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small HR team, fostering their professional development and ensuring efficient delivery of HR services.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or HR certification, e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR, preferred).7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in manufacturing or a regulated industry such as medical devices or healthcare.Strong knowledge of employment laws, OSHA regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements.Proven ability to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.Experience managing compensation, benefits, and employee development programs.Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and data analysis tools. Experience with Workday highly desired.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with a focus on precision and quality.Preferred SkillsExperience in a medium-sized company (100-500 employees) with a mix of office, production, and technical staff.Familiarity with the medical equipment or healthcare manufacturing sector.Background in change management or scaling HR processes during company growth.What We OfferCompetitive salary range: $135-180k (based on experience).
