Nanion Technologies Inc. is a rapidly growing instrumentation company offering automated ion channel screening platforms to industry and academic research institutions globally. To support the increasing demand for our technologies and strengthen customer engagement, we are expanding our commercial team in North AmericaWe are seeking a Regional Scientific Sales Manager to drive the growth of ourAutomated Patch Clamp (APC) portfolio including Port-a-Patch, Patchliner and SyncroPatch systemsto join our team - across the U.S. and Canadian markets. The role reports to the Director of Sales, North America and involves close interaction with our inside sales, marketing, technical and product development teams.Responsibilities:· Own and manage the entire sales process: prospecting, customer meetings, presentations, quoting, follow-ups, and account management· Will be responsible for selling our portfolio of Automated Patch Clamp (APC)instruments.· Actively identify and engage new customers in Academia, Biotech, Pharmaceuticals and CRO's· Work directly with our inside sales and marketing team to generate leads· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention.· Approximately 50-75% travel required across North America (overnight travel expected)· Occasional international travel for training, meetings and/or events at HQ in Munich, Germany· Attend and represent Nanion at conference, symposiums and workshops· Achieve and/or exceed sales targets across the APC products, including the Port-a-Patch, Patchliner and SyncroPatch.· Participate in conferences, symposiums, etc.· Present and promote our APC systems, both remotely and on-site in collaboration with our Field Application Scientist (FAS).· Provide regular & accurate sales pipeline forecasts as well as account management in CRM system (Salesforce)Position Skills and/or Requirements:· Minimum of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Biophysics or related field.· Minimum 6-8 years' experience selling into the life science market (Pharma, Biotech, CRO and/or Academia)· Strong understanding of HTS, ion channel research, and automated electrophysiology is strongly recommended· Strategic thinker with a self-starter mindset, able to manage complex accounts and deliver results independently· Ideally, this role would be located near New Jersey or San Francisco offices· Selling into Life Sciences, including Biotech, Pharma, CRO's and Academia is preferred· Capital Equipment sales experience is preferred· Must have a strong background in life sciences as well as a well-developed technical aptitude in software.· Create and develop sales strategies. Work is accomplished in a proactive manner without considerable direction. Able to create and develop resolution independently to complex problems while meeting sales objectives· Excellent knowledge of the academic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology industry related to HTS and automated patch clamp technology· Self-directed, strategic solutions-based approach to territory and account management· Willingness and ability to take on additional challenging tasks/project responsibilities assigned by manager, senior management, or others· Working in a team environment· Previous experience of Salesforce (or similar CRM platforms) as well as Microsoft office· Maintain and grow monthly, quarterly sales goalsSelf-starter in lead generation and account managementExcellent verbal and written technical communication skills with an emphasis on ability to present effectively to a diverse audienceCompensation & Benefits· Competitive compensation package· Health, 401k and additional benefits· Travel cost covered· Opportunities for training and development, including periodic visits to HQ in Munich, GermanyTo ApplyPlease send Cover Letter and Resume to
