Vaco is hiring a Product SpecialistLocation: Oakland Park, FLCompensation: $65-$77/annuallyResponsibilities:The Product Specialist supports the development and success of products by bridging technical feasibility with business strategy. This role involves gathering and analyzing customer and market insights, collaborating with R&D to shape product solutions, and contributing to go-to-market planning and performance evaluation to ensure products meet both user needs and organizational goals.Market and DiscoveryDevelop a deep understanding of wheelchair securement systems, customer use cases, and industry regulations.Participate in and document Voice of Customer (VoC) insights through interviews, ride-alongs, focus groups, and user observations.Monitor and evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify potential threats and opportunities. Help organize and document outputs from innovation and ideation workshops to capture and prioritize new product ideas. Product Planning & DefinitionAssist in drafting product requirement documents (PRDs), including features, user stories, and performance criteria.Collaborate with R&D and Engineering to translate business needs into feasible technical solutions.Support the maintenance of product backlogs, user requirements, and roadmap artifacts. Development & Cross-Functional EnablementCoordinate with R&D, Engineering and Operations during product development to ensure alignment with specifications and timelines. Provide technical product knowledge and assist in the creation of sales tools, training materials, and FAQs for internal teams. Partner with Marketing to support the creation of product messaging, visuals, and go-to-market content. Product Launch & CommercializationAssist in building business cases and collecting data to inform pricing models and product positioning. Help coordinate launch readiness activities across departments, including Marketing Sales, and Customer Support.Support the creation of launch presentations, sales enablement content, and product demos.Gather and report customer feedback and product performance metrics post-launch to identify areas for improvement. Skills & Capabilities:1-2 years of experience in a product or technical support role (transportation, medical instrument, mobility, or safety systems preferred).Bachelor's degree in business, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.Comfortable navigating both technical discussions and business strategy conversations.Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
