OBGYN/Phisician- Community Health ClinicSalary Range: $300,000.00 To $350,000.00 AnnuallyProvides comprehensive medical services for members of family, regardless of age or sex within scope of training. Services include: The delivery of prenatal, gynecological, obstetric and educational care at a patient-centered environment. The OB/GYN (Provider) works in a collaborative effort across all departments to remove barriers for accessing healthcare. The OB/GYN must incorporate health center policies (including quality assurance) into their clinical practice to provide quality care commensurate with training and licensure. The mission of SJCH is to provide medical, dental and mental health services to underserved and uninsured persons in South Los Angeles. Provider may be used in a variety of locations depending upon the need of the organization. Occasional evening and Saturday shifts. No hospital call or rounds. Available to travel to clinics upon short notice upon urgent situations to serve our patients. Maybe asked to supervise PA and NP. May be asked to provide training to resident physicians or physician extender students.Benefits:Free Medical, Dental & Vision13 Paid Holidays + PTO403 (B) retirement matchLife Insurance, EAPFlexible Spending AccountContinued workforce development & trainingSuccession plans & growth withinREQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSEducationMedical Degree (MD, DO)OB/GYN Residency trainingExperience Within scope of training Familiar with Electronic Health Records (EHR); eClinical Works preferred Basic computer skillsLicensure/Certificationas appropriateCA Medical License, DEA CertificateBLS certified Board certified or Board eligible within three year of residency trainingHIV certified (preferred)Employees are responsible for maintaining individual certifications as required by job function or by law and provide verification and recertification when requested by management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPersonal-Team-OrganizationCollect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.Conducting physical examinations.Order and interpret the results of laboratory, x-ray and other tests.Perform routine office based obstetric and gynecological procedures including colposcopy and endometrial biopsies, etc.Determine and implement appropriate courses of treatment.Provide treatment plans and prescribe medications for issues/diseases of the female organs.Provide care and treatment during prenatal and postnatal periods.Monitor results of treatment, changing as necessary.Maintain accurate, complete records that comply with contracts and/or St. John's Well Child & Family Center policies.Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.Confer with professional and support staff regarding care and treatment of patients and assists/mentors them in management of illness; serves as a resource to resolve patient/family concerns.Monitor and ensures compliance with clinical evidence-based guidelines for adult and pediatric health care.Having the ability to develop positive rapport with patients and families to foster the physician/patient relationship.Perform related duties as required.Immunize patients from communicable diseases.Advise patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.Refer patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment.Provider goals: sees minimum of twenty-five patients per day subject to clinic goalsProviders schedule works twenty-six Saturdays per year to provide coverage and subject to clinic goals and some evenings Provider Competencies - SpecificityAnalytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data.Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.Technical Skills - Assesses own strengths and weaknesses.Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance.Oral Communication Responds well to questions; participates in meetings.Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively.Ethics - Treats people with respect; upholds organizational values.
