Who we are:Urban Ltd provides full-service civil engineering, transportation engineering, land planning, landscape architecture, and surveying services to private and public sector clients throughout the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.Urban is currently seeking Land Development and Site Design Project Engineers with 3-5 Years of Experience.Successful candidates would be based in our Chantilly, VA office.This position is in the office, 5 days a week.Our Ideal Candidates who have 3-5 Years of Experience:Must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.Would preferably have EIT Certificationbut not required.Must have experience in designing, preparing, and processing land development applications.Must have experience in Northern Virginia jurisdictionsShould have experience with Commercial, Residential, and Mixed-use projects.Must have the ability to make well-informed design decisions based on their knowledge of civil engineering concepts and locality requirements.Must have proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Must have the ability to make well-informed design decisions based on civil engineering concepts and locality requirementsUnderstands and actively contributes to the preparation of full sets of construction plansMust be detail-oriented to ensure excellence across all work products submitted to Project Managers.Typical Duties Will Include but not limited to:Drafting of CAD drawings and details for site and subdivision plans.Site Layout and Utility designHorizontal and vertical design of roadwaysPreparation of erosion and sediment control plans.Generating hydrologic computations for SWM facilities.Performing pavement design computationsPerforming site distance analysis.Preparing site work quantitytake-offs.Coordination with internal and external engineers, architects, etc.Urban's Most Important Asset Is Our People, As Our People Make Our Clients' Visions A RealityFounded in 1967, Urban is a stable base upon which to begin or advance your career.Learn new technical skills, work on interesting and dynamic projects, and achieve career growth in an industry-leading company.
