DevOps System Engineer

Job Title: DevOps System EngineerDuration: 9+ Months (Possible extension)Location: Nashville, TN 37203Remote RoleResponsibilities:DevOps Engineer with emphasis on Jenkins and central libraries and pipelineResponsible for identifying, analyzing, monitoring, supporting, architecting and engineering solutions.Areas of responsibility involve OS, middleware, applications, and databases for pre-production servers.Strong coding skills around automation is a MUST.Must have experience in using Bitbucket, Artifactory, GitLab and a ticketing process.Deploy, smoke test, and validate new code releases. Backup and restore environments to previous version in case of rollbackMaintain and control access to test environments through concept of least privilegeProvide a weekly status report for current projectsReview and provide recommendations to improve environment performanceManage tickets and tasks assigned to provide detailed information on all support provided, recommended solutions, and improvements that are implementedProvide technical assistance to other Systems Administrators as neededUnderstand and document how entire environment and its dependencies is integratedSpec and build out new environments as neededMonitor and maintain standard documentation for policies, procedures and practicesDemonstrate effective time management and the ability to maintain multiple tasksApply effective communication and customer support to our QA and Dev teammatesEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in information technology related fields or equivalent work experienceEmphasis on Windows Server platforms, 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2022 SQL Clustering, PowerShell Automation, IIS configuration, AD, DNS, VLANS, NetScaler, etc.Familiarity with SQL connections and basic queries, Oracle connections, VMWareMinimum of 5 years of experience in Customer Service and Information TechnologyStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectivelyDemonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groupsDemonstrated professionalism and courtesy in responding to phone calls and emails
