Senior Engineer (AI / Computer Vision)Location: Glendale, CA or Rochester, MNWe are an innovative MedTech company revolutionizing healthcare through AI-powered solutions. We are looking for a Senior Computer Vision Engineer with a passion for solving real-world problems at the intersection of AI, industrial automation, and healthcare.As a Senior Computer Vision Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven computer vision solutions for healthcare and industrial settings. You will work on cutting-edge projects involving medical imaging, surgical workflows, device tracking, and real-time visual analytics. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and clinicians, to create robust, production-ready systems.What You'll Do:Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms for object detection, segmentation, tracking, and recognition.Build real-time and high-throughput image/video analytics pipelines for industrial healthcare environments.Implement deep learning architectures (e.g., YOLO, Faster R-CNN, ResNet, Vision Transformers) for accurate and efficient inference.Leverage 3D reconstruction, multi-camera calibration, and pose estimation where applicable.Integrate computer vision models into industrial hardware setups, including robotic systems, IoT cameras, and OR analytics tools.Deploy models at scale on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and edge computing environments.Collaborate with software engineers to build scalable APIs and services around AI models.Work on compliance-driven healthcare computer vision systems Collaborate with clinicians to understand surgical workflows and build AI tools for instrument tracking, tray digitization, and OR documentation..Optimize models for safety, explainability, and regulatory readiness.Who You Are:Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.7+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision and deep learning.Strong expertise in PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, and scikit-image.Experience building production-grade CV systems in industrial or healthcare environments.Familiarity with edge deployment frameworks (e.g., TensorRT, OpenVINO, ONNX).Understanding of healthcare standards (DICOM, HL7, FHIR) and healthcare data compliance.Experience with multi-modal AI combining vision, NLP, and sensor data.Background in robotic vision or automated quality inspection systems.Familiarity with FDA, HIPAA, and ISO 13485 compliance in healthcare software.Knowledge of AWS SageMaker or Azure ML for scalable model training and deployment.
