The successful candidate will manage a large geographic territory and represent Tai Ping across the residential, contract, and hospitality markets.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development: Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities to grow the client base within Los Angeles and surrounding market.Client Engagement: Consistently schedule and conduct appointments with architectural and interior design firms.Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective trade clients.Sales Activities: Conduct a set number of monthly presentations, lunch & learns, and studio visits to promote products and generate leads.Outreach: Perform consistent weekly outreach via phone and in person to build pipeline and strengthen network presence.Project Management: Oversee all phases of the sales process"”from quoting and sampling to order submission and post-sales follow-up.Client Communication: Deliver timely, clear, and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting to the Regional Sales Director.Event Representation: Represent Tai Ping at local industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to elevate brand awareness.Expense Management: Manage travel and entertainment expenses within the company's established budget.Territory Management: Maintain updated and accurate records in the company CRM to track leads, opportunities, and client activities.Required Skills & CompetenciesIndustry Experience: Minimum 5+ years of sales experience within the trade-related design or architectural industry is required.Presentation Skills: Confident, engaging presenter comfortable speaking to clients at all professional levels.Sales Acumen: Proven track record of consistently closing deals and successfully selling into complex design projects.Lead Generation: Strong ability to prospect, cold call, and generate qualified leads independently.Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative team spirit.Self-Motivation: Proactive, results-oriented, and highly driven with a "hunter" mentality.Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems as well as Microsoft Excel, Google Suite and ERPEducation: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.Additional RequirementsTravel: Reasonable travel is required throughout the LA Market and surrounding territory.Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and transport carpet samples and materials up to 40 lbs.About Tai Ping CarpetsTai Ping Carpets is a vertically integrated global leader in the design and production of custom luxury carpets, serving the interior design and architectural industries with a focus on the residential trade, contract, hospitality as well as aviation and yachting sectors.
